Medieval style: which should I use?
For the new LOTRO game coming out, I want to use a nice medieval style, nothing techy.
Not many styles out there really, free at least. I don't mind paying $20. So here's my choices: Atarkus http://www.forumtemplates.com/forums...in/?styleid=29 I like this, but it's fixed width, and too much yellow. Would be a pain to try and change the colors and really I'm burnt out from over-customizing things all the time. Merkia http://www.forumtemplates.com/forums...php?styleid=34 I like this, except just 1 fault - text too dark. Simple fix, change to brighter color. Seems like I'll go with this one. I wanted to ask this in case anyone knows of any other styles that I might like? (and no, not Knighthood or any others on forumtemplates.com) P.s. i'm not here to promote forumtemplates, just really can't find any other decent medieval templates. |

Hi!
Thanks for the links, I was looking for more Medieval styles also. I've bought the template from vbMechanic.com: http://www.vbmechanic.com/ Their demo/site is offline but this site is using the template so you could download it from there manualy: http://www.jotin.nl/forum/ Have Fun! Jan Jaap |

The payment system (paypal) is still online, so you could pay the designer vbmechanic.com and then download the styles on jotin.nl/forum/ as the owner of vbMechanic.com is not responding also not after paying or contact via PayPal.
Ofcourse this might require a lot of work, but I just needed the background from the skin for www.gdefinition.com an online dictionairy with photos. Best Regards, Jan Jaap |

Unless "jotin.nl" is authorized by vBMechanic.com to redistribute their products then it is stealing.

Whether you paid to vBMechanic or not is not the issue. Again, unless vBMechanic has authorized some other site to redistribute their products then it is stealing. Just because vBMechanic has, for all intents & purposes, closed up shop that doesn't mean that other people can start distributing vBMechanic's commercial products at their own discretion.

Well, I needed the skin and saw it for sale on vBMechanic.com. The shop isn't closed, just the demo isn't working. After payment however nothing happened so I send a few emails without any response and then decided to download the skin from jotin.nl/forum/
Again, the shop isn't closed you can just pay as usual for the skin but if you want the skin you will have to download it manualy. Best Regards, Jan Jaap http://www.vbmechanic.com/buy-vbulletin-skins.php |

Yes, their payment system is still active but the forums and support have been turned off for quite some time now. You should never just blindly purchase something without checking out the rest of the site first.
