Flash Chat Ghosts...
Apologies in advance if this isn't where it belongs. I always seem to put posts the wrong places. :surprised: Anyway...
I'm trying to figure out why it appears as though people are in my site's chatroom when they've actually left hours ago. On suggestion was to go to the config.php file, as in... public_html/chat//inc/config.php and then chang this... 'inactivityInterval' => 24*60*60, to something else. I changed it to this... 'inactivityInterval' => 24*30*30, but that didn't do the trick. In fact... it still shows ME in there and I've not been there for hours. Please advise. Thanks! Lyte |

In the wrong section for a question, but it will be moved.
Reason is that they haven't closed it off properly. Flashchat requires you to close it via the X in that window before closing off the browser. Most people just close the browser, which will still show them as being in there. |

*60*60 =1 hour
*30*30 =1/2 hour |

Thanks for responding! You mean the one in the upper right corner, yes?? But that logs the person out of chat AND the site itself. Is there no other recourse? I don't suppose that has been fixed in later versions up updates? Is there a way for me to put a piece of text up at the top of chat that tells people how to log off properly? Thanks! Lyte |

Yep the smaller X in the chat window up top right, but not the browser window, is what's needed to be used first.
Not able to add text to chat window, why not just make a Notice on your board or send everyone an e-mail.. |
