I was wondering if it would be possible to set up extra user fields.

Then, grab users in a specific user group to display on a home page.

For example:
User1 User2 User3
User4 User5 User6

Would be links going to the homepages staff.php?user=userid

On that page it would display

Profile picture
Name (First "Username" Last name)
Location
Position (Field set by admin)
Age

I'm helping bring a gaming website up to date, and we've decided to use our vBulletin as a base for our website. We don't want to use vBAdvanced, but would rather just rewrite part of our already working code. vBExternal has solved our News system and online users.

Also, has anyone had a chance to look at the vBExternal code to see if you could add support for news output for grabbing attachments. (We would like the ability to attach media that way)

Since the quick movement of this forum, I thought I'd add more to this.

Is it possible to make attachments part of the post box, (IE, [img] within the post) or could someone extend vBExternal to just grab the news' attachments under the {attachment} key?

Our plans are for media releases of a game we're developing. So, we're prefer if you didn't have to goto the thread to see the images or be stuck uploading them instead.

I've posted here twice in the past couple of months looking for almost the same thing. No luck so far. But I'm like you, I want to keep my own front to the sites but I'd like to be able to pull more information. Maybe a bump will help it to get seen.
