I will explain what I am trying to accomplish first.
We have 1 database, and 1 site with two urls pointing to it. The content, style, etc. is the same. The only differenece is the ORDER in which things are listed. x5world.com/forums.php x3world.com/forums.php to accomplish this in 3.0.x, init.php was modified with the following code: Otherwise everything defaults to X5 world. I attempt to write a plugin to duplicate this, and it does not work. i had it run as a global init in 3.5 as a plugin, and the plug in system was activated. Any ideas? ps if you ask why, here are the answers: 1) it makes the X3 owners feel just as important as the X5 owners 2) it makes the X3 bbtitle dominant over the X5 title if logging in via x3world 3) separates cookies for two entry points All content, and site access is equivalent and same. (no hidden forums, etc). in fact, we don't have any hidden forums! however, it maintains a nice 'equality' between different sets of users. thanks for any help! |
