Download manager mods?

Hey guys,was hopeing someone out there knows of a good download manager mod that can be implimented into vB 3.0.7,I have already tried using vBdownloads 2.0 but i cant get this thing to work even when folloing instructions to the "T" and have been unable to get support so far.I don't have time to wait to long so i figured i'd try to find an alternate route.Thanks for your time and look foward to replies

:EDIT: or does anyone know where i can find an older release of vBdownloads thats guareenteed to work with 3.0.7
