Concepts Guide?

I am not new to vBulletin. Have been on version 2.x for quite some time and just migrated a test board to 3.0 RC1. In the past I did not do too much customizing.

A couple of days ago I dived into hacking and customizing and now I'm becoming more and more addicted to it. :-) I guess most of you can fully understand how it feels. :-)

Having read hundreds of posts here and on vbulletin.org / .com I wonder whether there is some basic concept guide out there. I have already read the version 2 template reference guide and it is a point to start but maybe somebody out here has written and made available to the public some concept guide which goes far beyond what the vB manual gives us.

I'd like to understand in dephts the concepts behind customizing vBulletin, templates, phrases, the .php files.

Maybe somebody wants to join me writing a book on it with O'Reilly's? :-)

Any hint is greatly appreciated.
