Two Admins on one board
Hi all
I'm in a weird situation here and I need some advice. On another board someone had been asking for some new board ideas and some ideas were tossed around. At one point I had thought one idea was a joke and well I haven't had much luck lately starting boards. Well someone suggested a fast food board and again I thought it was a joke especially seeing the signature that the thraed starter had. Well I tried registering several fast food domains and most of what I thought of were already taken so I settled on fastfoodforums.com. Well to make a long story short, the thread starter asked if I would share the board with him and we would both be admins. I have never talked to this guy before let alone even posted in a post of his before this thread. I feel I have every right to take some ideas that I read in a thread and make them happen. Had I read something definate that the thread starter were going to start a fastfood forum, I woudn't have resgistered my domain name. Either way, this board will get going as soon as the DNS is complete. I feel bad in a way for assuming that the fast food board was a joke and well in a way I simply read the ideas in the thread and felt this could work with some ideas I do have but I don't feel confident on having someone I don't even know share a board with me. I had been a board owner for well over a year, I ran a board that had 3,000 members, 50,000 posts and after a year I ended it because there were maybe 20 posts a day and maybe 2 new members in a week. There had also been new boards popping up with the same subject matter so there was heavy competition...even had a DOS attack on my server from the biggest competitor. Ideas please on the sharing the board situation? |
