Getting a page to display a serpentine draft

For my site, I want to have a page that displays the results of fantasy football drafts. The thing is, we use a serpentine draft method, and it's not exactly the easiest thing to retrieve/display from a PHP coding standpoint.

For those who are unfamiliar with the method, the draft order alternates by round. In round 1, the picks go from team 1 through team x. In round 2, the picks go from team x back to team 1, and the process repeats.

Round 1 would go from left to right, round 2 from right to left, etc.

Now that I've thoroughly confused you guys, how would you go about doing this? I'm not sure what the best way would be to solve this one.
