Requested vBHome add-ons

G'day all,

I've just started using TECK's brilliant vBHome hack after uninstalling vBPortal from my site (as it was too resource hungry and was bogging down my entire hack). Besides, TECK's does pretty much everything vBP did (except banner ads).

Now, being a PHP newbie, I'm hoping someone can help with a couple of add-ons for vBHome, such as:

* a list of the x most recent threads in the news forums (using the multiforums add-on for vBH) apart from those already displayed on the front page. Like a "More Recent News" quick list that just lists the title and links to the article.

* limit the poll displayed on the portal to only those posted in a specific forum, a-la vbP.

* an easy way to add new left/right/center "blocks" for the HTML and table impaired (like me! LOL!) and to re-order existing blocks

More as I think of 'em! Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!
