One login for PostNuke / VBulletin...
(Originally posted in Help Me Finish Forum....)
I've searched the boards and still haven't found an answer to my problem so here it is. I've installed a tweaked PHPNuke+VB hack that was posted here a few days ago. It worked flawlessly and now I have all new registrations from either PostNuke or VBulletin going to the VBulletin registration page. The registration information gets sent to both tables, nuke_users (PostNuke) and users (VBulletin), and all update/delete SQL commands after that affect both tables from there on out. My problem is that I would like to be able to have my visitors be able to login either from the PostNuke front page or VBulletin forums page and be logged in throughout their stay. Scenario #1: If the user logged in from the home page he/she would be logging in to the nuke_user table which is the default and then if he/she decided to go to the forums, there wouldn't be a need to login to the vbulletin users table. Scenario #2: If the user logged in to the forums page through VBulletin's user table and decided to go to the rest of the site (PostNuke) then there wouldn't be a need to relogin again. I hope I've explained my need well enough. I figure I'm close to getting PostNuke and VBulletin working as close to how I would like as possible with the exception of this login deal.... Thanks for any help you can give... I really appreciate your expertise. |
