restricting signature length?

i looked all thru CP options and only found options to restrict number of characters in profile stuff such as location, etc..

my members sigs get longer and longer no matter what we say, and its becoming a pain to change them ourselves

we dont allow IMG or HTML tags so its just text we need to limit
