A question about something, I'm just not sure what!

Ok, sorry for the lack of technical speak here, I'll try and explain this the best I can.

I have a wedding forum and I will be having a calender hack installed shortly that will make 'Today's Weddings' show at the end of the page, just like the birthdays do now. But I would like to add another feature. I would like to add a box that says something like "Next 10 Weddings', and that automatically keeps a list of the weddings to come in a kind of top 10 list. We're not even sure what you would call this so I can't search through the site to see if it already exists.

If anyone can give me any pointers, or perhaps knows if this is even possible, I would be really grateful.
