OK...I am about to set up a community website for my housing development with forums, calendars, etc. I need something easy, fast to bring online and I don't like painting myself into a corner. (yes I want my cake and eat it too!) I have already pretty much figured out that I want to use vB for the forums, but I need a good CMS. I would love integration between everything when it comes to the user DBs...anyone have any thoughts on this?
I know there were supposed to be people working on integration of PostNuke and phpWebsite with vB. Then I stumble across vBP. It's very confusing to a newbie to the CMS arena. After I chose something that works with vB, will plug-ins and modules from other nuke-based CMSs work? They all seem to be related somehow, bit I can't figure it all out yet. Someone may be able to shut me up really quick if there are any good pages out there that I could be directed to that cover this. Thanks in advance... Brian PS - be gentle with me...I know nothing about PHP CMS systems yet...but I am learning very quickly. |
