Ok, I have downloaded the karma hack, it’s not as good as I thought it would, some features are stupid...

so I thought of this.....

1: User Gets XX Points To Start A Thread, XX Points For Replies

2: Users may rate other users posts XX times a day

They would decide on the quality of post, have the option of giving 1 - 5 points or deducting 1 - 5 point, If a user deducts points from a another user he can not deduct it again for 24 hours. User can only give another user points xx times a day.

Logs would be kept of all points given and deducted by users, and admin and can look at who rated who, which user rated a certain user the most, they can then deduct points or ban a user from using the feature for XX days.

3: User require XX posts before they can rate users

4: Users get XX points for referring members

5: User can use their points to purchase avatars, you can set a price for a certain category where as all avatars are the same price,
but also set certain individual avatars to be highly priced e.g.
10 points for your average Bart avatar, while a animated Bart would cost 25 points.

while 500 points would allow them to use there own...

6: User can also use points to purchase extra goodies like,
T Shirts, Music CD's etc where as admin adds a certain products and the amount he has to offer, e.g. 10 DMX Cd's the first 10 users who reach the required points of 10,000 click on redeem,
and whala admin gets a message about it and sends the CD off.

7: admin, can reset points for a certain user group or all or a certain user...

8: maybe purchase access to a certain forum for XX days or unlimited days... would work for certain forums speci...

9: Gain access to extra forum styles / design

10: every time you reset points for users it would not delete them it would simply move to a section in their CP where it would say previous points.

11: XX points for taking part in a vote it would allow low points like 0.10 0.50 which is half of 1 point...

ok that was my idea of the hack, I don’t know if some one can write it here and share it?

I think it’s a big over the top, but can be useful in ways of attracting new members...
