forum breaks when mod is disabled

I have this mod called plusone it adds twitter and fb share buttons to the threads
It works as advertised but there is a problem there is an option to not allow the butons to show on all pages and can set it to only show on the threads. but if you dont allow them to show on all pages the forum breaks it loads the main forum.php but shows and empty space where forums should be.

ok fine ill just disable the mod well same thing happens if you disable it it breaks the forum wtf now i have a mod that wont allow you to take it off or it will break your forum what kind of crap person will design a mod that works but will break forum if you ever get rid of it.

is there anything i can do about this oh and i tried to find the makers of mod but there website isn't there anymore and doesn't look like there's any support anymore
