How to Initiate Paid Subscriptions with a BUTTON

I'll tell y'all right now that paid subscriptions page is a conversion rate killer!

Is there anyway to initiate a paid subscription with a button I can place in my sales thread... Rather than linking my 'upgrade now' button in the sales thread to the payments.php page, I'd like to have it just initiate the payment!

Argh I cannot figure it out I've been digging through templates/files for hours trying to figure it out.
