How do I make my custom html home page my HOME page ?

I would like my Nav bar to look like this...

HOME - ARTICLES - FORUMS - ETC - ETC- ETC

HOME I would like to to use a custom home HTML page that I made, then use ARTICLES as the Vbulletin CMS and then FORUMS my forums etc etc

My question is HOW do I implement my HTML HOME page to be www.mysite.com ??

obviously my articles would be www.mysite.com/articles and forums would be www.mysite.com/forums

I have found variations of this question on the forums here, i.e. changing default name in Navigation Mangaer etc but nothing that I have been able to do exactly what I need...
