Banning email addresses

Hello to everyone,

How do I ban email addresses?!?

I have a long list of email addresses in the "User Banned Options" - such as *@sina.com - but I still get spammers trying to sign up using email addresses with variations ending in the above email suffixes.

Am I doing something wrong?
