$vbulletin->GPC['password'] returning nothing...

Hello, I am editing the register.php page.

I am trying to get the user password and encrypt it in sha1.

Doesn't work, even when I put echo $vbulletin->GPC['password'] next to a statement that uses it. What to do to make him return a value?
