Fade-in Images & Quotes

Hi,

I'm an admin on a VBulletin 4.1.2 forum. Many of our members are complaining about how signature, avatars and any other images fade-into the screen as one scrolls rather than loading all at once. This is quite annoying and I was wondering if there was a way to stop this from happening.

Also, is there a way to put someones User ID into a quote message so that when that user changes their name, the name on that quote changes as well?
