I want to gether stats on each subforum (views, visits etc)
I have searched a lot here...
It seems like a lot of people want this but the procedure is a little complex and involves third-party software rather than hacks or mods. Is that correct? At present if a potential advertiser were to ask me “so, what sort of traffic figures are you getting for the XXXX sub forum?" Or “what are your top three most popular sub-forms? I would stand going "ummm, errrr"..." like an idiot, unable to provide any answers. I suppose one of the MAIN things I need to have an understanding of is how many page views there are per sub-forum, per day, month, year so that I can calculate how much banner ad inventory I am able to deliver in each sub-form. I guess what I'm asking the community here for is advice like "the best thing to use is XXXX software" (or hack) Don't waste your time on all the others." So - VB ninjas! What is your recommendation? I have Google Analytics (like anyone else..) And have it set up to show me basic forum-wide traffic + total number of visitors from specific countries, overall page views etc but I feel I don't have the chops necessary to customize it and put it to work WITHIN my forums pages to tell me about movement WITHIN my forum.... (Also. some of the sub-forms are members only so perhaps they will be inaccessible by Google web crawlers?) I think I'm looking for an off-the-shelf third-party product? (I can get tech help from someone who works with me to install it and configure it... just need to find the right tools for the job first!) Thanks in advance folks! |
