HTML code causing extra line to be inserted in vB4, but not in vB3.

I created a custom bbcode. It can be seen in action in the following two posts, on two different boards using vb4 vs. vb3.

vB4--http://www.younglifenorthdekalb.com/...=2343#post2343

The custom BB code used to create those is identical, with the exception of pointing to /ihof/ben/ in one and /ccfl/ben/ in the other. Similarly...

vb4--http://www.younglifenorthdekalb.com/...read.php?t=281

The same code was used to generate the first posts in those threads, just different databases.

Note the extra lines in vB4. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance for help.
