content.php forwards to /forum/content/

Hi
I have recently upgraded to vers 4.0.6 and loaded a stlye. Once the style was loaded I no longer have access to "home" and if i navigate to /forum/content.php or /forum/index.php I am forwarded to /forum/content/ and therfore nothing loads as there is no /content/ on the server.
Can anyone help please

More info
just noticed that any forum links pressed does not show that catagory, so there has been a problem in the upgrade process I assume. Can anyone therefor help
