Sub Menu on search.php page different than on other pages

On a search result page (search.php) the submenu right below the navbar (or part of the navbar I guess) only shows a limited number of links. On other pages such as forum home, a thread page, or inside a forum there are a lot more links.

How can I make the search result page have all the links as other pages do?
