Is there a hack for this?

Is there a hack for this:

User sends a PM to user2.
- in sent folder User can see the sent message

User2 opens the message

User looks in sent folder to see if User2 has read the message.
- User sees a little notice in the sent items that says, "read" or if not read; "unread"

Is there a hack for that? I remember in phpBB forum if you sent someone a PM you could tell if it was read or not, is it possible to have this in vB too?

Also... is there a hack to integrate highslide js with a custom BBcode [media] tag? I've been trying to do this for a month now and I fail.
