Help needed creating ImpEx importer for posts

I've now got my vBulletin licence, and I've posted my question about importing in the ImpEx section on the vBulletin.com forums (as that seemed like the most appropriate place for it), but I've had no replies at all and it's been there for about 4 days now. So I thought maybe I should see if anyone over here can help, as I'd really like to get started on setting up vBulletin, and can't until I get this bit figured out.

If anyone can offer any help on this at all, anything that would help get me started on figuring out how ImpEx importers work, I'd be very grateful
