spacer_open conditional
I have a style where I want the navbar to totally extend the length of the page. This essentially means that I need the $spacer_open variable to come after the $navbar, not in the header beforehand.
I would simply put it in at the end of the $navbar template, however this causes a problem as the $spacer_open variable would not be on templates such as STANDARD_ERROR or registration templates (As the navbar isn't brought up). I thought I could possibly do this by putting a hook in the global_setup_complete with a conditional seeing if $navbar was defined, and if it wasn't append the $spacer_open to the end of the $header template, instead of the end of the $navbar. This doesn't work though because global.php is called in each file nearly first thing, before the navbits are constructed. Does anyone have an idea on the best way to do this with minimal template edits? |
