I have VB 3.7.4 running. Both my users and myself are getting pretty confused with the "New Posts" and "Today's Posts" displays. Can anyone help?
First, I see that "New Posts" lists posts you haven't read yet, no matter how long ago they were put up (within reason). Second, I see that "Today's Posts" lists posts that were posted since 12AM today. Neither of these options is what I (or my users) want. We want to see something like "this week's posts" or "recent posts" where you can see all the posts put in for the whole week, but with status icons that say if you've read them or not. We want it to list like "new posts", but don't want read posts to vanish from the list. How do I set up Vbulletin to display such a list? ![]() ![]() --------------- Added [DATE]1233798053[/DATE] at [TIME]1233798053[/TIME] --------------- PS: The "cookie" method of keeping track of read posts is working something like this, but the "read posts" seem to be getting corrupted somehow and set back to "unread". I switched to the other two database modes, and things seemed to keep track of read/unread properly, but of course the older threads you have already read vanished from the "new posts" listing, while "today's posts" doesn't show enough history of posts to be useful to us. |
