Reducing the members list ?

hi - we have a lot of members on our site that sign up - perhaps post a few times, but never come back.

I suppose I can sort the members list via last activity, but how could I modify the members list to not include specific usergroups?

we have a usergroup for members that aint been active in a certain time - and would like to stop those none-active members appearing in the members list.
