Hilight the poster's text then quote

I am in the process of changing over forums and a feature my old forum has is you can drag your mouse and highlight any portion of the text in a post you wish to quote. What I see here is that the whole post is quoted when clicking the quote button. Am I missing a setting or is there a mod to do this? Thanks
