server load phpbb
I have a forum with a lot of posts and traffic. It is currently in phpbb3 which I migrated last year from phpbb2. The traffic is about to expand many times over. I have it setup on two servers so that the DB has more processing power and there is less single server load. There is a slight performance hit running through the switch but it is pretty negligible and overall performance is much better this way.
I have heard that vb is much better than phpbb3 in terms of server load. Is there any documentation here or maybe on a tech site where this has been benchmarked? I'm thinking to move it over to vb but I want to make sure it is a good move in terms of performance before I commit to it. |
