Random avatars on forum home and forum display

Yeah so I was thinking of something that could add a little bit of eye candy to a forum... and I thought of a modification that will fetch random avatars from member profiles and show an admin defined number of them at the top of forum home and/or forum display. If anyone can write a mod like this, it would be great... and I'm sure a lot of admins would use it.

Btw, I have a v3.6.4 forum... so it would be great if you could make it work with that version as well as v3.7.
