I'm having a problem with pointing to directories
This is a bit complicated: I originally had a working vBulletin site on a shared host. We decided to move to a dedicated web host at a different hosting company. Our original site used cpanel for site administration, and the files were placed in a directory in my root folder called "public-html." The dedicated server uses PLESK for admin and puts the files in their root directory called "httpdocs." Here's my problem. When I moved the files from my old server to the new server I put the 'public_html" directory into the "httpdocs," in essence adding a layer of unnecessary directory. Now, I have kludge html re-direct in there pointing to the "public_html" directory, but the links are all off. My question is: Which files do I look in that talk about full URLs or server paths beyond the frequent references to relative paths in a lot of the files? I've got something out of configuration because the files get "lost" (meaning the server can't find them -- they are always there). Any ideas. Thanks in advance. This ahas been bugging me for a while. I can put in kludges to get to the various directories, but I would prefer to have the program be in the proper httpdocs directory.
My website is www.aimag.com |
