Make certian profile fields mandatory when subscribing though paid subscriptions?

I have setup some paid subscriptions on my site, but I'd really like to gather more info from the members who are "Paid" so is there a way to make them fill out certain profile fields when subscribing to a subscription, but leave regular "Free" registration accounts as-is.
