Indervidual forum post/thread counts?

Hi all, I'm looking for a mod or a way to be able to put the post/thread counts of indervidual forums on any/new page so it would show like this:

We have XXX posts in forum 1
We have XXX posts in forum 2
We have XXX posts in forum 3

also as above but for indervidual catagories aswell:
We have XXX posts in Cat 1
We have XXX posts in Cat 2
We have XXX posts in Cat 3

any ideas, solutions or links apprietiated
