How to Reorder or Change Link locations in Navbar?

I've searched the threads but haven't come across any questions on this. Is it possible to reorder the menu item links on the navbar? (For example if the unmodified navbar had User CP, Member List, Calendar - how would you change their positions to Member List, Calendar, User CP)?

Also, another question - when you install a new mod and it automatically adds it's link to the navbar, (no option in the ACP to select link position or external link code, etc) what determines the position of that link on the navbar and how can you change it's position relative to the other links if needed?
