The following permission settings exist:
Default usergroup permissions (DUP) Forum permissions (FP) Individual user masks (IUM) Shouldn't the FP override the DUP? Seems like it should, but it doesn't seem that way. Say I have 35 forums. I add a usergroup and I want to give said group access to only one of the 35 forums. I would think that I could set the DUP to deny everything... then set the FP to allow access by the usergroup. It doesn't seem to work that way. The only way I can get it to work is to add the usergroup with "allow" setting of the DUP. Then, customize all 34 forums to deny the group. This is very tedious. Is there a better way to work it? |
