smilies help

I wanted to add a new set of smilies to my forum, which i did no problems.
I then went back and tried to organes them into nice neat categories.
While i was doing this I accidentally removed the default smilies category and smilies.
I have tried to put them back as i found it but now my members dont have the options to click more smilies in their replies they only get the standard ones. Also they can't type in the shortcuts like : D, : P and : S to bring them up now.

how can i fix this anyone know? i would gladly wipe everything to do with smilies and start from scratch and re-upload the little bits i need to if that would help but im new and don't know what to do.

please help if you can
