Image Resizer for Images uploaded via attachment function ?

Hi,
I searched the forum, but was not able to find a mod or hack for the following:

I found several mods to resize big images postet with the IMG BBcode. But was not able to find a mod that also resizes images uploaded via the attachment function. I changed the original vB style to a new one (with a sidebar on the left) I bought and when a user uploads an attachment which is a little bit bigger the whole thread will be as wide as the one posting with this image is. In the original style only this single postings was wider and not the whole thread. So users with a browser resolution with 1024x768 or smaller will have to scroll always horizontally when a user posts a bigger image to read text in the other postings in this whole thread.

I know that vB offer the thumbnail function, but I have many many images in my forum and I think this function will create thumbnails for all images if they are very wide or also small. My User very often posts small images (smilies or little animated GIFs) with the attachment function. So this will look very bad in the threads if also small images will be shown as thumbnails.

The best will be to have a mod that show only images which have a width resolution bigger than XX pixel as thumb and all smaller images in its original size. Is this possible ?

What happens when I let the vB create thumbnails with a size of 800x600 px when an uploaded image is only 100x100 px big ? Will the vB also create a thumbnail for this ?
