Embedding 3rd party video content into forum - Why won't this work?
Hello.
Why can't I embed 3rd party video content into my forum pages, just the same as I can with normal webpages? I'm trying to embed videos from GodTube.com but so far I'm unsucessful. I'm currently running 3.6.7. I've tried what looks like the two most popular hacks for this, AnyMedia - which I couldn't get to work at all with 3.6.7 so I uninstalled it, and AME which I still have installed and got to work with YouTube, but I don't know how to write the RegEx code to get it to work with GodTube.com. The thing that I don't understand, is since I have HTML enabled on my forum, why won't the "embed code" provided by GodTube work just the same as it does on a conventional webpage? Am I simply doing something wrong? For more information about my problem or the embed code for GodTube, I posted a more descriptive thread (along with samples) on the AME support forum which can be accessed by clicking here. If anyone has a suggestion, whether that's a different hack, a different technique, or any advice, I would greatly appreciate all assistance! Thanks! Jeff |
