Its nearly a year in the making. Litterally thousands of hours have been poored into its development(it use to be a phpbb board). I'm still trying to work out a few things with the site. One important thing that I can't seam to figure out is on the front page of the site, I can't figure out how to have a "Welcome" box that explains what the site is so that when people do come to the site, they may be interested.
Anyway. A brief description on what the site is(since I can't figure out the Welcome box to explain it). I'm trying to make a Forum based community for online gaming guilds and clans. On the site, I'm hoping that eventually we will be able to help other guilds and clans get more recruits from our site, schedule events, challenge other guilds, advertise themselves, and become active in the community.
I'm having a tough time right now with the site. I was hoping to get some constructive criticism on what needs to be done or what suggestions can be given to launch the site to being what I want it to be. Design suggestions would be MUCH appreciated since I have the artistic talent of a 3 year old . I try to keep things simple and easily navigational for that reason, but it very much lacks any kind of real design.

Edit: BTW, I am going to be replacing the "recent threads" section in the middle with News Updates to the site. Its just on my list of stuff to add.
