Some vB forums return white page.. why?

I have recently setup vB on a Dreamhost server and for the most part am not having any trouble. When accessing the site from home everything works great. The problem happens when I try to access my site from the network at my work.

For some strange reason when I try to access a thread through a link that contains showthread.php?t=### it returns a white page. If the link contains showthread.php?p=### the thread is displayed just fine. All pages that do not have showthread.php?t=### in them display normally.

I had a look at several other vB forums from work and some return a white page while others do not. has anyone heard of this before? Is there a solution to this problem? Any help would be most appreciated.
