Need integration with VisionGate Fusion
I am setting up a VisionGate Fusion site (http://www.visiongatefusion.com) for a client who wants to incorporate vBulletin into the same site, the same MySQL installation. I am told that the two products can be installed on the same server, but that users would have to log into both products unless there is some custom programming to integrate the two and make the logins seamless.
VGF is PHP-based, but they disallow table additions to their structure because it prevents auto-updates. I deduce that vBulletin is PHP and MySQL based, as is VGF. Can you think of a programming reason why we can't pass credentials from one database-based application to the other seamlessly? I know VGF pretty well, it's vBulletin for which I need advice. If it is possible to integrate the two, then I will also be shopping for someone to do the custom programming. I'm also told I can find one somewhere here within these forums... Thanks, Toolie |
