Cheat sheet on switching hosting companies?

Hello again,

I just had a question on optimizing tables and it was pointed out to me that GoDaddy.com may not be the best to be with. I did some searching and there are MANY people saying the same. But my point here is not to beat up on GoDaddy, I have a question on the process of changing hosting companies.

I would be more than positive that there has been some tutorial on the subject here, but in my initial search, I can't find one...

For those that have done it before, was it hard to do? And is there a vB.org tutorial?
