Limiting NavBar menus to certain usergroups

I currently have a NavBar that has a link to an Image Uploader using this code in the NavBar template.....

This makes the Image Uploader menu not appear to people that aren't logged on i.e guests so that they can't use the feature (unless they happened to know the direct URL).

I want to make it so that the menu also doesn't show to 'Users Awaiting Email Confirmation' as they could be using a false address and then be able to upload images. How can I do this with code in the NavBar template.
