Need advice on restoring sql database file to server
Greetings,
I recently had a disaster with my forum. After upgrading a hack, my members were unable to post. They would get an error message when submitting posts or threads. My co-administrator whilst trying to remedy the issue, who knows even less than I about computer technical issues, inadvertently deleted the mysql database on our web hosts server. I have full back ups of our forum but have been unsuccessful in restoring the sql file to the web hosts server. I have made inquiries to both vBulletin.com and my host (which is a large, reputable company) regarding the restoration of my database but neither are responding. My back up sql file is only 12 Megs. I'd be happy to compensate any competant member or vBulletin.org staff who could assist me in what should be a simple matter for someone who knows what they are doing -which is not me...lol I would have made a paid request offer in the proper forum but no-one seems to respond to any of the inquiries there. I have cPanel access to my host server. phpMyadmin etc. Help!...lol Best wishes, _Brandr. |
