Has anyone seen this type of layout?
I find many forums hard to read. So do many other people. They get confused by posts running off in tangents. Using a linear setting helps but many still find it confusing.
There are some Forums which display posts differently. Posts are easier to follow. They are all .asp programs but surely something similar could be done with vBulletin or php. The sites are targeted primarily at investors. Posts about a company can be easily followed and replied to. Seems to give threads better continuity. One example is http://www.stockhouse.ca/bullboards/. Companies are shown by their trading symbol. Hit anyone and you can see the layout. Another is http://www.siliconinvestor.com/. Latest posts are laid out for each company. Very easy to follow. THE BIG QUESTION - Could something similar be done with vBulletin? Has anyone ever seen it? Know anyone who could do it? Bob |
