Dont know the name of this hide hack for 3.5 please help

im looking for a hack i seen on a site where if your unregistered you can see the posts but only 1 or 3 sentences of the post after that you get a message like

you cant see the rest until you register.

and this message is on all the posts in every thread until they do register. can someone point me in the right direction?
