Request read receipt radio button checked by default

For both new PMs and PM replies I'd like to have the radio buttons for "request read receipt" checked by default. I know there was a mod out there for 3.0.6 but I've been unable to find it.

What do I need to modify in the templates to make this happen for 3.5.4? Many thanks in advance!
