Signature Suspension

Hi there,

Most of my requests never get past the first post, but here goes.

My forum has had a lot of increased activity over the last few months, and with that we've felt that we needed to cut down on signature rules. So we did. But now we have even more people who violate the rules, since they're stricter. Currently, I have a link in each person's post that shows only for Mods, HMods and Admins and when clicked, you are taken to a page that allows you to edit the signature. That's fine and dandy -- but I want more.

So, here's what I'd like. A hack that will allow me to click a link such as that one, and it opens a pop-up window. There I could either edit the signature via a text box or suspend it by ticking the 'Suspend Signature' option. The suspended signature would just be a signature that has been replaced by text (most likely a phrase {$vbphrase[signature_suspended]}) or something that I could change to whatever I wanted ("Signature suspended because of rule violation." or whatever.)

It would basically be a port of this vB2 hack that I used to use when I had a vB2 board.

Now, something additional that I would like. If that's all you can make for me (what I described above), then that's awesome. But if you can do this additional feature, I'd be forever grateful:

I'd love to have a "Signature Suspension Manager" that all Admins could access via the ACP. There I would be able to see all suspended signatures and who suspended them and when. Additionally, I could see what the signature was before and could restore it.

Don't worry about the second (SS Manager) part, I'd just like the first at least. :devious:
